MUPY Hosts Exit Presentation for 2026 Exchange Students from Universitas Islam Indonesia

On Friday, June 26, 2026, from 01.00 p.m. to 03.00 p.m., the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), through its Department of Microbiology in collaboration with the International Relations Unit, organized an Exit Presentation for six exchange pharmacy students from the Department of Pharmacy, Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), Republic of Indonesia, at Room 701, Rajaratana Building.

The event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mullika Chomnawang, Head of the Antimicrobial Resistance Interdisciplinary Center (AMRIC), together with Dr. Muhammad Hatta Prabowo, Head of Pharmacy Program, Department of Pharmacy, UII, who visited MUPY to attend the presentation session.

The participating students were: 1) Sanabel Maulida Alnafisi, 2) Aris, 3) Ashila Fitria, 4) Nanda Esa Wahyu Nurrafi'u, 5) Artika Diah Eka Putri, and 6) Abidullah Adel. They successfully completed a professional pharmacy internship designed to enhance their knowledge and practical skills in the field of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), which was conducted from June 4–26, 2026, at the Department of Microbiology and the Antimicrobial Resistance Interdisciplinary Center (AMRIC).

Throughout the three-week program, the students participated in a range of academic and laboratory-based activities under the guidance of faculty members and researchers from the Department of Microbiology and AMRIC. The program provided valuable opportunities for experiential learning, enabling the participants to strengthen their research competencies, gain practical laboratory experience, and deepen their understanding of antimicrobial resistance. In addition, the initiative encouraged the exchange of knowledge and experiences, broadened participants’ international perspectives, and fostered greater appreciation of cultural diversity.

Furthermore, the program supported the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing international learning opportunities and strengthening students’ academic and research competencies. It also contributed to SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through the promotion of sustainable academic collaboration and knowledge exchange between higher education institutions in Thailand and Indonesia.
