March 10, 2485 B.E.

Establishment of the "University of Medical Sciences" under the Royal Decree on the Organization of the Ministry of Public Health. This was announced in the Government Gazette (Volume 59, Part 16) on March 10, 1942.

June 7, 2511 B.E.

A Royal Decree established two new faculties within the "University of Medical Sciences": the Faculty of Dentistry, Phayathai and the Faculty of Pharmacy, Phayathai. These were established in line with the government's policy and plans under the University Education Development Plan (1967–1971) for the medical sector, which aimed to increase the production of dentists and pharmacists.(Previously, there was already one Faculty of Pharmacy located in the current area of Chulalongkorn University. Therefore, the newly established Faculty of Pharmacy, located on Sri Ayutthaya Road, Phayathai Subdistrict, was designated as the Faculty of Pharmacy, Phayathai.)

October 13, 2511 B.E.

The Office of the Prime Minister issued an order appointing Professor Dr. Chatchawan Osathanon, who was then the Rector of the University of Medical Sciences and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, to concurrently serve as the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Phayathai, at the "University of Medical Sciences"

March 2, 2511 B.E.

The University of Medical Sciences received the gracious royal permission to be bestowed the name "Mahidol" for the university. Consequently, the law concerning the University of Medical Sciences was repealed, and the Mahidol University Act was enacted

October 1, 2513 B.E.

The Mahidol University Council issued Order No. 593/2513 appointing Prof. Dr. Chanai Sumpantharak, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, to the position of Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University. The Council also appointed Professor Dr.Pradit Hutangkura to concurrently serve as the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Phayathai, Mahidol University.

January 25, 2515 B.E.

Dr.Pradit Hutangkura was appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Phayathai, Mahidol University.

April 13, 2515 B.E.

A Revolutionary Council Announcement was issued to establish the Faculties of Pharmacy and Dentistry within Chulalongkorn University, and to transfer the former Faculty of Pharmacy to Chulalongkorn University. This became effective starting May 1, 2515 B.E. This action left the Faculty of Pharmacy, Phayathai as the only Faculty of Pharmacy remaining at Mahidol University.

November 15, 2515 B.E.

The Mahidol University Council meeting passed a resolution approving the Faculty of Pharmacy, Phayathai to remove the term "Phayathai."The name "Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University" has therefore been in use until present.
