MUPY Dean Invited as Keynote Speaker at Vietnam’s National Pharmaceutical Conference

On Thursday, 9 April 2026, at 09:00 AM (local time of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam), Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, was honored with an invitation to serve as a keynote speaker at the 42nd Pharmaceutical Science and Technology Conference – Pharmaceutical Science in the Era of Sustainable Development, a national-level academic conference in pharmaceutical sciences of Vietnam.

On this occasion, he delivered a keynote lecture entitled “Current and Future Trends in Pharmacy Education.” The conference was jointly hosted by the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City (UMP-HCMC) and the Hanoi University of Pharmacy (HUP), and took place at the main auditorium of UMP-HCMC in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan received a warm welcome from Prof. Ngo Quoc Dat, President of UMP-HCMC; Prof. Tran Thanh Dao, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, UMP-HCMC; Prof. Nguyen Hai Nam, Rector of HUP; along with executives and representatives from various faculties of pharmacy across Vietnam. The conference program featured an official welcome ceremony, cultural performances, keynote and academic lectures, as well as research presentations across diverse fields in pharmaceutical sciences. The event attracted more than 1,000 participants.

This engagement aligns with the mission of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, to strengthen international academic collaboration and to promote the exchange of knowledge and innovation in pharmaceutical and health sciences. It also contributes to advancing global education standards and supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals
