MUPY Strengthens International Ties with University of Santo Tomas Through Executive Visit

On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM , the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY) officially hosted an international visit for Asst. Prof. Joemarie T. Malana, the International Relations Coordinator from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Santo Tomas (UST), Philippines. The visiting delegation was warmly welcomed at the Phayathai Campus by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jiraphun Jittikoon, Deputy Dean for General Administration, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wanvisa Udomsinprasert, Chair of the Department of Biochemistry, along with members of the Department of Biochemistry.

The primary objectives of this official visit were to strengthen global partnerships between the two prestigious institutions and to engage in high-level discussions regarding future academic and research collaborations. During the session, both parties explored mutual interests and discussed potential exchange activities designed to foster meaningful academic growth and innovation. This engagement underscores MUPY’s commitment to building a robust international network that enhances the quality of pharmaceutical education and research on a global scale.

This collaborative effort directly aligns with SDG 4: Quality Education by promoting international academic exchange and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. By facilitating such cross-border institutional dialogues, MUPY continues to advance its vision of being a pharmaceutical academic institution that meets international standards while contributing to the development of a sustainable society. The successful conclusion of this visit marks another significant step toward long-term, impactful cooperation between Mahidol University and the University of Santo Tomas.
