On Friday, January 30, 2026, the Graduate Program in Health Technology Assessment (MUHTA) at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), led by Associate Professor Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, together with Associate Professor Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew, Program Director, extended a warm welcome to a distinguished alumna, Ms. Anne Julienne Genuino-Marfori, Division Chief of the Health Technology Assessment Division (HTAD), Department of Health, the Philippines.

Ms. Genuino-Marfori, who earned her Master of Science degree in Health Technology Assessment from Mahidol University, took the opportunity during her official business trip to Thailand to revisit her alma mater. The meeting served as a vital platform to discuss potential academic and research collaborations between MUPY and the HTAD in the Philippines. Both parties explored avenues to strengthen professional networks and enhance capacity building in the field of health technology assessment within the region.

This visit not only reinforces the strong bond between the Faculty and its alumni network but also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The collaboration promotes Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being by fostering cooperation to improve health technology assessment standards and healthcare decision-making. It also supports Goal 4: Quality Education through the maintenance of strong alumni relations and lifelong learning opportunities. Furthermore, it significantly contributes to Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, as it facilitates cross-border collaboration and knowledge exchange to strengthen health systems in Southeast Asia.
