MUPY collaborates with Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia on pharmacy education and research

Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Jantan (Dean), Prof. Dr. Jamia Azdina Jamal (Deputy Dean for Academic & International Affairs) and Prof. Dr. P.T. Thomas (Head of Quality Management) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, visited MUPY during 28-29 January 2010 to discuss the expansion of collaboration between the two institutions. Initially, MUPY and UKM have established agreement on staff / student exchange in the area of Pharmaceutics through Prof. Narong Sarisuta (MUPY) and Assoc. Prof. Mohd Cairul Iqbal Mohd Amin (UKM). The collaboration has started since March of 2009. For this visit, the focus is on the expansion of collaboration in the area of Natural Products, Pharmacy Practice and Pharmaceutical Biology. In addition, MUPY and UKM have agreed to set up the 1st Joint Scientific Seminar (UKM-MU JSC) which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia during 12-13 of October 2010. (www.ukm.my/ukmmujsc) Dean Chuthamanee Suthisisang, administrative staff along with relevant department heads warmly welcomed and discussed opportunities for collaboration with representatives from UKM.
