On Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), through the International Relations Unit, organized an orientation for exchange students from the College of Pharmacy, University of Kentucky, USA. The orientation was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, and Assoc. Prof. Thanarat Suansanae, Deputy Dean for Education, who welcomed the students at Room 403, Rajaratana Building.
Three exchange students, Mr. Matthew Yonts, Ms. Joo Eun Jun, and Ms. Erin Vongchan, are participating in the Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) Rotation from September 22 to October 30, 2026. The program provides opportunities for the students to gain practical experience in various areas of pharmacy practice, including clinical pharmacy, community pharmacy, Thai traditional pharmacy, and pharmacy administration. The activities are being conducted at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, as well as affiliated healthcare facilities in Bangkok and Prachinburi Province. Throughout the program, the students will have opportunities to gain insights into Thailand’s healthcare system and develop professional competencies through hands-on learning in diverse pharmacy practice settings.
The program also promotes intercultural learning and strengthens academic collaboration between the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, and the College of Pharmacy, University of Kentucky. It provides opportunities for the students to enhance their professional knowledge and skills, develop communication and teamwork skills in an international environment, and build academic networks between the two institutions.
The program demonstrates MUPY’s commitment to advancing pharmacy education and strengthening international academic collaboration, while supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
