The Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), extended its heartfelt congratulations to its faculty members and students who received awards and presentation recognitions at the 5th ASEAN PharmNET Conference 2026, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The award presentation and recognition ceremony took place on Friday, September 11, 2026, celebrating outstanding academic and research contributions presented at the international conference.

Among the recognized oral presentations, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chatchakorn Eurtivong received an award for the presentation entitled “Identification of Indole-2-Carbohydrazides as Promising Anti-Tubulin and Anticancer.” Asst. Prof. Dr. Eurtivong’s award was accepted on his behalf by Dr. Teerawat Songsichan. Also, Dr. Teerapong Aramruang received an award for his oral presentation entitled “Effectiveness of Preventive Migraine Medications on the Risk of Medication Overuse in Patients with Migraine: A Real-World Cohort Study.”

In the poster presentation category, Dr. Pongpol Thanuphol received an award for the research entitled “Assessment of Prebiotic Potential of Dietary Fiber-Bound Phenolic Compounds from Mangosteen Fruit,” with the award accepted on his behalf by Dr. Teerawat Songsichan. In addition, Ms. Boonraksa Neesanan and Ms. Nattamon Mitranya, sixth-year students of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, received an award for their presentation entitled “Cost-Effectiveness Analysis of Subcutaneous Semaglutide 2.4 mg Injection in Patient with Obesity.” These recognitions reflected the breadth and quality of research and scholarly work conducted by MUPY faculty members and students across pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacotherapy, natural products, and health economic evaluation.

The achievements at the 5th ASEAN PharmNET Conference 2026 underscored MUPY’s commitment to producing research and innovation that meets national and international standards, while also fostering the development of graduates with strong academic and research competencies. The participation and recognition of both faculty members and students at an international academic forum further supported knowledge exchange and strengthened the Faculty’s engagement with the regional pharmaceutical and health sciences community. In relation to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the research presented addressed areas contributing particularly to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, through research aimed at advancing cancer therapeutics, migraine management, nutrition and health, and obesity treatment, as well as SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, through the development and dissemination of research and innovation. These achievements also reflected the Faculty’s ongoing contribution to SDG 4: Quality Education by providing students with opportunities to develop and disseminate research at an international level.
