MUPY Welcomes NTU Exchange Students for Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) Rotation Program

On Monday, July 6, 2026, at 10.00 a.m., the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), through its International Relations and Corporate Communications Unit, welcomed two exchange students from the School of Pharmacy, College of Medicine, National Taiwan University (NTU), Taiwan, to participate in the Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) Rotation Program. The exchange students, Mr. Chi-Huan Chiang and Ms. Yen-Ho Su, were welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, together with Asst. Prof. Sayamon Sukkha, Assistant Dean for Professional Affairs, at Room 404, Rajaratana Building.

The Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) Rotation Program will be held from July 4 to August 15, 2026, providing the exchange students with experiential learning opportunities in clinical, community, traditional, and administrative pharmacy practice. Throughout the six-week program, they will undertake practice rotations at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, and its affiliated healthcare facilities in Bangkok and Prachinburi. The program offers firsthand exposure to Thailand's healthcare system while enhancing the students' professional competencies through practice-based learning in diverse pharmacy settings.

In addition, the program aims to promote intercultural learning, broaden international perspectives, and strengthen academic collaboration between Mahidol University and National Taiwan University. Through this international exchange initiative, the participating students will further develop their professional knowledge, communication skills, and global outlook while fostering sustainable academic partnerships between the two institutions.

The program also supports MUPY's mission to advance excellence in pharmacy education through international collaboration and contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
