MUPY extended our warm welcome to Dr. Krisana Kraisintu, the 2009 Ramon Magsaysay Award Recipient. Dr. Krisana Kraisintu, a renowned Thai pharmacist and humanitarian, as known as “Gypsy Medicine Maker”, was awarded the prestigious Magsaysay Award from her contribution to ensure that many poverish parts of the world got access to anti-HIV medications with affordable prices. Along this long and difficult road to her ultimate goals, Dr. Krisana has sacrificed her personal life and put in tremendous effort to overcome all odds and obstacles put forward to her with grace and dignity. Millions of lives in the poorest corners of the world were touched by her galliant acts. With these quality, Dr. Krisana is rightly one of the best role models of any pharmacist around the world. MUPY has extended our official welcome for her visit. During the visit, Dr. Krisana gives an inspirational speech to faculty members and students alike. In addition, Dean Chuthamanee Suthisisang, administrative members along with faculty members held a party to celebrate Dr. Krisana\'s achievement during her visit at MUPY too.
