MUPY Delegates participate in the Opening Ceremony of the World Young Scientists Summit 2025 and the Launching Ceremony of the Sino-Thai Biopharmaceutical Industry Alliance in Wenzhou, China

On Sunday, October 26, 2025, (local time in the People’s Republic of China), three faculty members from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wichit Nosoongnoen, Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kotchaphan Chooluck, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Jaturong Pratuangdejkul, participated in the Opening Ceremony of the World Young Scientists Summit 2025 and the Launching Ceremony of the Sino-Thai Biopharmaceutical Industry Alliance held at the Ouhai Olympic Sports Center, Wenzhou, the People’s Republic of China.
The twin ceremonies served as key milestones in strengthening scientific and academic collaboration between Thailand and China, with a focus on innovation in the biomedical and pharmaceutical sectors. The event brought together young scientists, academic leaders, policymakers, and representatives from research institutions and industry worldwide to exchange ideas, foster partnerships, and promote the application of science and technology for global health advancement.
The launch of the Sino-Thai Biopharmaceutical Industry Alliance marked an important step toward building a shared platform for research collaboration, talent development, and industrial innovation. Through this alliance, both countries aim to integrate academic expertise with industrial capacity to accelerate progress in biopharmaceutical research and development.
The participation of MUPY’s delegation underscored the faculty’s ongoing commitment to fostering international engagement, advancing pharmaceutical innovation, and contributing to the strengthening of academic and research cooperation under the Thailand–China partnership framework. Moreover, this collaboration further aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs)—particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals—by promoting international collaboration, supporting scientific innovation, and contributing to the sustainable advancement of global health and education.
