Online Meeting with the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Osaka to explore collaborative opportunities

On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 08:00 A.M. to 09:00 A.M. (Bangkok time), the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, participated in an online meeting with Prof. Dr. Masayoshi Arai, a professor at the Laboratory of Natural Products for Drug Discovery, the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Osaka, Japan.  Also joining the meeting was Asst. Prof. Dr. Satsawat Visansirikul, Assistant Dean for General Administration, who was undertaking his research at the University of Osaka as a visiting researcher at the time.

This virtual discussion provided a fruitful platform to explore potential areas of academic collaboration between the two institutions. Key topics included faculty and student exchange programs, collaborative research initiatives, a future campus visit, and the prospective organization of a joint academic conference. The meeting underscored the mutual commitment to fostering international partnerships and advancing shared goals in pharmaceutical education and research. Both institutions expressed enthusiasm for strengthening ties and cultivating long-term academic cooperation in the near future. Furthermore, this online meeting responded to SDG’s Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
