MUPY welcomed Reseacher from School of Infection & Immunity, University of Glasgow, UK

On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 09.00 A.M., executives of Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wanvisa Udomsinprasert, Head of Department of Biochemistry, and Lect.. Wacharapol Saengsiwarltt, hosted a reception for Dr. Carmen Huesa, a researcher from the School of Infection & Immunity, University of Glasgow, United Kingdom, at Room 606, Rajaratana Building. The goal of this visit was to discuss potential collaboration with MUPY.

On this occasion, Dr. Carmen Huesa also gave a special talk in an academic seminar titled “The Science and Ethics of Mouse Models” and “Mouse Models of Arthritis: Paving the Way for Joint Health Research” hosted by the Department of Biochemistry at Room 710, Rajaratana Building, which attracted many MUPY students.

Following the session, Dr. Carmen Huesa had the opportunity to visit MUPY's learning and research facilities, including the Central Research Unit (CRU), the Centre of Biopharmaceutical Science for Healthy Ageing (BSHA), the Centre of Molecular Targeting & Integrated Drug Development (CMT-IDD) and various learning laboratories.

Moreover, this event responded to SDG Goals, particularly Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
