Orientation for students from the University of Arizona

On September 19, 2022, from 09:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., MUPY’s International Relations Division arranged an orientation meeting under the 2022 Exchange and Training Program for Exchange Students from the College of Pharmacy, University of Arizona. The students included (1) Ms. Ngoc Tran-Minh Nguyen, (2) Ms. Jacqueline Barrera, (3) Ms. Anitha Ramadoss. Having been held at Room 606, this orientation was attended by Asst. Prof. Jennis Meanwatthana. She gave a warm welcome as well as an overview information of the training program to the three Pharm. D. exchange students. Besides, it was honored to have an online presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Mantiwee Nimworapan from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Chiang Mai University to join this orientation meeting via the Zoom Meeting Platform. These three American students had been accepted and visited Thailand to undertake their international clinical rotation at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University and its affiliated training sites from September 19-30, 2022. They then visited the Faculty of Pharmacy, Chiang Mai University to complete their rotation under a supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Mantiwee Nimworapan from October 1-27, 2022. This training program aimed to provide a clinical training and practice for Pharm. D. students from partner universities, resulting in promoting the Faculty’s global visibility as well as to enhance the potential of faculty members, students, registered pharmacists at the training sites through international collaboration. Furthermore, this activity supported the Faculty’s Missions in terms of serving as the portal for professional services that encompasses drugs, herbal medicine, cosmetics and dietary supplement to support the sustainable development of the nation. It also responded to the SDG’s Goal 4th: Reduce inequality within and among countries, Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17th: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
