MUPY staff joined UKM’s ASEAN Pharmacy Distance Learning Symposium 2021

On September 2, 2021, from 07.00 a.m. - 11.00 a.m. (Bangkok local time), Asst. Prof. Supatat Chumnumwat, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, as an official delegation representing MUPY, participated as an invited speaker in the ASEAN Pharmacy Distance Learning Symposium 2021: Challenges and Best Practices organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Malaysia. His topic was Modularizing the Curriculum: Engaging Faculty Members with Distance Learning Concept. In this event, there were eight invited speakers from ASEAN pharmacy schools including Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Mahidol University, Thammasat University, University of Airlangga, University of the Immaculate Conception, University of Santo Tomas, Universitas Sumatera Utara, and Our Lady of Fatima University. Also, there were more than 150 international lecturers, scholars, and students who joined this online activity which was broadcasted via the Zoom Meeting platform and Facebook Live. The event was divided into a sharing session in the morning and a forum session in the afternoon. This symposium aimed to discuss policies and guidelines for distance/online learning, infrastructure and support system, content delivery/platform, practical and psychomotor evaluation in the context of the current pandemic situation. It also provided experience-sharing sessions focusing on examinations and assessments as well as professional internships. Furthermore, this activity responded to SDG’s Goal 4: Quality Education to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
