On Friday, November 7, 2025, from 10.00 AM to 12.00 PM, the International Relations Unit of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, arranged the exit presentation for exchange students from the Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Southern California (USC), USA. Held at Room 403 of the Rajaratana Building, the presentation was attended by Asst. Prof. Sayamon Sukkha, Assistant Dean for Professional Affairs, together with faculty members from the Department of Pharmacy.
The two USC students, Mr. Evan Makhani and Ms. Minh Gia Le, participated in the Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) Rotation from September 29 to November 7, 2025. Their training, supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Jennis Meanwatthana and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sayamol Sukkha, was conducted at the Faculty of Pharmacy and its affiliated practice sites, including 1) Ramathibodi Hospital, 2) Boots Pharmacy, 3) Chao Phraya Abhaibhubejhr Hospital, and 4) Roen-ya Pharmacy.
This program aimed to provide students with hands-on learning experiences in clinical pharmacy at hospitals and healthcare facilities both in Bangkok and upcountry. It also offered opportunities to explore Thailand’s healthcare system, pharmacy services, and the professional roles of pharmacists, while enhancing their academic capacity, social skills, and global citizenship as a foundation for their future careers. It helped strengthen a sustainable relationship between two institutions.
This initiative supported the Faculty’s mission to serve as a center of academic excellence in pharmaceuticals, herbal medicines, cosmetics, and food, contributing to sustainable national development. It also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by fostering international collaboration, addressing educational disparities, and promoting the global advancement of pharmacy education.
