On Friday, October 24, 2025, three delegates from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY) led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wichit Nosoongnoen, Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kotchaphan Chooluck and Asst. Prof. Dr. Jaturong Pratuangdejkul, attended the Opening Ceremony of 2025 Zhejiang International Series on Cooperation and Integration of University, Industry, Research and Application & Kick-off of Zhejiang International University - Industry - Research Collaboration Platform. Having been hosted by Wenzhou Medical University in collaboration with Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education, the event was physically held at the Lecture Hall, the 2nd Floor, Biomedical Science Research Building of Wenzhou Medical University in Wenzhou, the People’s Republic of China.
During the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wichit Nosoongnoen joined a symbolic signing of a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Prof. Lin Li, Dean of the School of Pharmacy, Wenzhou Medical University, to signify the cooperation intention between the two institutions. The LoI aims to strengthen academic collaboration through faculty and student exchanges, joint research initiatives, organization of scientific meetings, sharing of academic resources, and other mutually beneficial programs. This symbolic signing marks an important step toward strengthening Thailand–China cooperation in pharmaceutical sciences, research innovation, and higher education development.
Furthermore, the high-profile event, led by the Zhejiang Provincial Government, brought together representatives from various universities across Zhejiang Province and other international institutions. It served as a significant platform to showcase the joint commitment between China and Thailand in advancing biopharmaceutical collaboration, as well as to promote scientific innovation and global research cooperation.
This participation reflected MUPY’s continuous effort to foster international engagement, promote pharmaceutical innovation, and strengthen academic and research cooperation between Thailand and China in health sciences and biopharmaceutical development. Besides, this collaboration aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by advancing global cooperation, promoting innovation, and contributing to sustainable development for the improvement of global health and well-being.
