On Friday, October 10, 2025, Asst. Prof. Jennis Meanwatthana, Deputy Dean for the Doctor of Pharmacy Program (International Program), Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, participated as a distinguished speaker at the 4th Clinical Pharmacy Conference on the theme “Clinical Pharmacists in the Era of Personalized Medicine”, hosted by the University Medical Center, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
In the event, she delivered a presentation on the topic “Current Status and Future Prospects of Personalized Medicine in Thailand: Role of Thai Pharmacists.” The conference served as a regional platform for clinical pharmacists from ASEAN countries to exchange knowledge, share professional experiences, and discuss emerging trends and innovations in the field of clinical pharmacy. The event was attended by approximately 200 participants, including pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and academic researchers, who engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing patient-centered pharmaceutical care.
The conference aimed to foster professional collaboration and mutual learning across ASEAN, emphasizing the critical role of pharmacists in the advancement of personalized medicine. Asst. Prof. Jennis’s presentation highlighted Thailand’s efforts and strategic direction in integrating personalized medicine into pharmacy practice, underscoring the evolving responsibilities of Thai pharmacists in ensuring effective, safe, and individualized medication use.
Participation in this international conference reflects the Faculty of Pharmacy’s commitment to its third mission—to serve as a professional hub providing academic and clinical expertise in drugs, herbal medicines, cosmetics, and dietary supplements for sustainable national development. Moreover, the event aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), by promoting health literacy, fostering regional academic collaboration, and strengthening professional partnerships to advance healthcare standards across ASEAN.
