On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 01:00 PM to 02:30 PM, dministrative members of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, convened for a preparatory online meeting via the Zoom platform to discuss arrangements for the upcoming 2025 ASEAN PharmNET Dean Summit. The meeting was led by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, and joined by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, and Dr. Pongpol Thanuphol, Assistant Dean for Corporate Communication. Representing the host institution, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP), were Prof. Dr. Tho Do Chau M. Vinh, Vice-Dean, and Dr. Thuy Ty.
The key objective of the meeting was to discuss and finalize the logistical and academic preparations for the 2025 ASEAN PharmNET Dean Summit, which is scheduled to take place from November 6-8, 2025, at the CTUMP campus. The collaborative discussion focused on key agenda items and operational details to ensure the successful execution of the summit. The productive exchange between the two faculties laid the groundwork for a well-organized and impactful event, reinforcing the strong partnership between the two institutions.
This collaborative effort between Mahidol University and Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy to co-organize the ASEAN PharmNET Dean Summit serves as a tangible example of international academic partnership. The meeting directly contributes to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17: Partnerships for the Goals by strengthening international cooperation and forging a robust network among pharmacy faculties in the ASEAN region. Such collaboration is vital for fostering academic excellence and addressing regional health challenges, ultimately advancing the quality of education and research across the member institutions.
