During May 23–30, 2025, Prof. Dr. Leena Suntornsuk, representing the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), was honored with an appointment as a Visiting Professor at the Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine, Brawijaya University, Indonesia. This recognition reflects her academic distinction and the close partnership between the two institutions.
As part of her academic engagement, Prof. Dr. Leena participated in a series of scholarly activities. She delivered two guest lectures titled “Capillary Electrophoresis of Phytochemical Substances” and “Capillary Electrophoresis,” providing in-depth knowledge to students and faculty members. She also contributed to institutional development through a strategic discussion focused on establishing a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to enhance future collaboration between Universitas Brawijaya and MUPY.
Notably, Prof. Dr. Leena served as a plenary speaker at the 7th Brawijaya International Conference on Pharmacy (BICP), where she presented on “Nanotechnology for Quality Assessment of Pharmaceutical Products.” Her lecture highlighted recent advancements in the field and emphasized the importance of innovation in pharmaceutical sciences.
This prestigious engagement underscores MUPY’s dedication to fostering international academic networks and advancing global excellence in pharmaceutical education and research. This important engagement reflects MUPY’s steadfast commitment to advancing international cooperation and promoting global academic excellence through strategic partnerships and collaborative innovation. Furthermore, the visit aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically: Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all; Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries; and Goal 17: Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
