MUPY Welcomed Delegates from Shinshu University to Strengthen Academic Collaboration and Student Exchange

On Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM, the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Korbtham Sathirakul, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jiraporn Leanpolchareanchai, and Dr. Amporn Songkasiri, warmly welcomed Prof. Dr. Toshio Sakai, Director of International Relations Office, and three graduate students from the Faculty of Engineering, Shinshu University, Japan. The meeting, held at Room 409, Rajaratana Building, during their visit to the faculty to further discuss plans for the 2025 student exchange and training program for the students of the Faculty of Engineering, Shinshu University, as well as the 2025 overseas professional internship program at the Faculty of Engineering, Shinshu University, for MUPY's sixth-year undergraduate students. Additionally, the meeting explored potential research collaborations between the two institutions.

This academic partnership played a vital role in promoting hands-on learning experiences and developing research skills among students. The exchange program between the two universities offered students the opportunity to gain knowledge and exchange academic insights, technology, and innovations in both pharmacy and engineering fields. It also provided valuable international work experience, enhancing the capabilities of students and faculty members from both institutions to compete effectively at a global level. Besides, this academic collaboration marked another significant step in expanding the international network of Mahidol University’s Faculty of Pharmacy. It also presented a valuable opportunity for students to enhance their skills, knowledge, and perspectives, which would be beneficial for their future career paths.

Furthermore, this initiative supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4th: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17th: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
