International Research Network Initiative

On Wednesday, December 2, 2020, from 08.00 am - 12.00 pm, MUPY’s executives led by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, MUPY’s Dean, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew, Deputy Dean for International and Public Relations, and faculty members joined the virtually international meeting entitled ’International Research Network Initiative (IRNI)’ officially organized by Universiti Teknologi Mara’s Faculty of Pharmacy, Malaysia. Having been broadcasted via Cisco Webex Event, this online session was attended by representatives from Universiti Teknologi Mara, Mahidol University, University Santo Tomas, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and Institut Teknologi Bandung. In this regard, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doungdaw Chantasart, Assistant Dean for Research and Innovation, as MUPY’s representative, also joined as a speaker in its Combined Session in the topic of ’Research at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University’. In addition, MUPY faculty members were invited to be a speaker in the following Concurrent Session. 1. Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan attended in the area of Pharmacy Practice 2. Prof. Dr. Leena Suntornsuk attended in the area of Chemistry 3. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doungdaw Chantasart attended in the area of Pharmaceutics 4. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vilasinee Hirunpanich Sato attended in the area of Pharmacology 5. Asst. Prof. Dr. Jiraphun Jittikoon attended in the area of Life Sciences The objectives of this meeting included 1) to showcase research opportunities available (i.e. international grants, facilities, services, postgraduate opportunities, student exchange, journals, and conferences/ webinars), and 2) to form research interest groups comprising of experts in the areas of chemistry, life sciences, pharmacy practice, pharmaceutics, and pharmacology.
