On Thursday, November 27, 2025, from 09:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M., executives from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), led by Asst. Prof. Sayamon Sukkha, Assistant Dean for Professional Affairs, together with Asst. Prof. Supatat Chumnumwat, Dr. Suwida Tangtrakultham, and Dr. Amporn Songkasiri, participated in an online exit presentation hosted by Meiji Pharmaceutical University (MPU). The session was arranged as a hybrid event, broadcast via Microsoft Teams from Tokyo, with the in-person meeting taking place at MPU.

The presentation was graciously honored by Prof. Dr. Hirotoshi Echizen, President of MPU, along with MPU faculty members including Prof. Dr. Manabu Akazawa, Dr. Ryoko Sakai, and Dr. Kazuhiro Higuchi, who warmly welcomed the MUPY delegation. This event marked the conclusion of the clinical internship of Ms. Thanaporn Chuajetton, an undergraduate student from MUPY, who presented her learning outcomes and professional practice experiences under the supervision of Dr. Higuchi and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sakai. During the session, the supervising faculty provided constructive feedback on her training experience, which was conducted at various professional practice sites within MPU’s partner network.

The clinical internship, held on-site in Tokyo from October 20 to November 28, 2025, included hands-on professional training at QoL Pharmacy, St. Marianna University Hospital Branch; RYUSEIDO Pharmacy, Ookubo Branch; Kawakita General Hospital; The Cancer Institute Hospital; and Issindo KAMPO School. These institutions are part of MPU’s extensive clinical training network and served as key learning environments for the student’s overseas professional development.

This overseas internship program further strengthened the long-standing relationship between MUPY and MPU. It also aligned with the Faculty of Pharmacy’s mission to produce graduates with competencies equivalent to those of leading pharmacy institutions in Asia, equipped with strong ethical values and societal responsiveness. Furthermore, the activity corresponded to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, which promotes inclusive and equitable lifelong learning; SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, which supports educational mobility and equal opportunities across nations; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, which reinforces global academic collaboration for sustainable development.
