Orientation for Exchange Students from Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chiba University and PAPRSB Institute of Health Sciences, Universiti Brunei Darussalam

On Monday, September 1, 2025, the International Relations Unit of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, held the Orientation Program for international students from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chiba University (CU), Japan, and the PAPRSB Institute of Health Sciences, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD). Having been held at Room 606, Rajaratana Building, the event was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, who delivered the opening remarks and formally welcomed Prof. Dr. Kunikazu Moribe, Vice Dean, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chiba University, and 16 exchange students.

The event was also attended by executives and faculty members, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mullika Chomnawang, Deputy Dean for Innovation Management and Business Relations, Dr. Pongpol Thanuphol, Assistant Dean for Corporate Communication, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Waree Limwikrant, Chair of the Department of Manufacturing Pharmacy.

A total of 14 students from Chiba University joined the 2025 Student Mobility Program, in collaboration with ENGINE Program, held from September 1–12, 2025, while two students from Universiti Brunei Darussalam are participating in a professional training program at the Department of Food Chemistry from September 1 to December 5, 2025.

14 students from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chiba University, included:

  3. Ms. Haruna FURUTA (2nd-year Student)
  4. Ms. Yuhee RO (2nd-year Student)

  6. Ms. Yui AKIYAMA (2nd-year Student)
  7. Mr. Sota FUJIGAYA (2nd-year Student)
  8. Ms. Haruka NOGUCHI (2nd-year Student)
  9. Mr. Hiroto URANO (2nd-year Student)
  10. Mr. Gakuto FURUGEN (2nd-year Student)
  11. Ms. Ayano TAKEBAYASHI (2nd-year Student)
  12. Mr. Mikiya ENDO (2nd-year Student)
  13. Ms. Haruka TAKAHASHI (1st-year Student)
  14. Ms. Natsumi MIKI (1st-year Student)

Two students from the PAPRSB Institute of Health Sciences, Universiti Brunei Darussalam included:

  1. Ms. Azaharina Aisyah Ashanti Binti Haji Kifli (4th-year Student)
  2. Ms. Nur Hannani Damia binti Hamdani (4th-year Student)

The Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, remains committed to fostering academic collaborations with leading universities worldwide to enhance the competencies of students, faculty members, and staff in order to thrive in the global arena. Such endeavors contribute to the advancement of pharmaceutical knowledge and innovation for the benefit of Thai society and the global community.

This initiative supported the faculty’s mission to serve as a center for academic services in pharmaceuticals, herbal medicines, cosmetics, and food to advance sustainable national development. It also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), by promoting international collaboration, reducing educational disparities, and enhancing the quality of pharmacy education on a global scale.
