MUPY hosted orientation meeting for 2025 Bhe Saj Sawasdee Student Exchange Program

On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the International Relations Unit of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, held the Orientation Program for the 2025 Student Mobility Program: Bhe Saj Sawasdee Program. Having been held at Room 702, Rajaratana Building, the event was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, who delivered the opening remarks and formally welcomed all 14 exchange students.

The orientation welcomed students from three partner institutions: five students from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (Vietnam); six from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Santo Tomas (Philippines); and three from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (Indonesia). The Faculty also received distinguished guests from Vietnam National University, Hanoi: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hai (Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy) and Mr. Son Nhat Bui (Faculty Member). The agenda included an introduction to the program schedule, learning objectives, and activities planned under the Bhe Saj Sawasdee Program, which run from 14 July 2025 to 8 August 2025 at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, Phayathai Campus in Bangkok.

The participating students from three universities were below

Five students from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vietnam  included:
1. Mr. Dinh Thanh Tung (3rd-year student)
2. Ms. Nguyen Bao Ngoc (4th-year student)
3. Ms. Nguyen Hai Ha (4th-year student)
4. Ms. Ta Thi Thu Phuong (4th-year student)
5. Ms. Nguyen Thi My Hao (4th-year student)

Six students from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Santo Tomas, the Philippines included:
1. Mr. Mark Gregory Andal (4th-year student)
2. Mr. Pio Francisco Atienza (4th-year student)
3. Ms. Anne Mariell Bianca Aquino (4th-year student)
4. Ms. Anika Rae Que (4th-year student)
5. Ms. Amerah Maruhom (4th-year student)
6. Ms. Maria Roshan Sai Antolin Silaya (4th-year student)

Three students from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, Indonesia included:
1. Ms. Dio Sahda Luthfiasti (3rd-year student)
2. Ms. Windi Putri Kinanti (3rd-year student)
3. Ms. Camelia Fitra Khairani (3rd-year student)

The program was designed to promote academic exchange, share professional knowledge in pharmacy and health sciences, and foster intercultural understanding among ASEAN students. It further aimed to strengthen international academic partnerships and inspire students to develop their professional competencies and global citizenship. By participating, students would gain insights into Thailand’s healthcare and pharmaceutical systems, develop intercultural communication skills, and expanded their academic and professional networks globally.

This initiative supported the Faculty’s mission to serve as a center for academic services in pharmaceuticals, herbal medicines, cosmetics, and food to advance sustainable national development. It also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), by promoting international collaboration, reducing educational disparities, and enhancing the quality of pharmacy education on a global scale.
