2025 Professional Training Program for Exchange Students from Kyushu University's School of Pharmaceutical Sciences

On Monday, March 3, 2025, from 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM, the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), through its International Relations Office,  arranged an orientation meeting of the 2025 Professional Training Program for three exchange students from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kyushu University, Japan. The event, held at Room 404, Rajaratana Building, was honored by the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, along with faculty members from the Division of Pharmaceutical Technology and the Department of Pharmaceutical Botany. They extended a warm welcome and conduct an orientation session for the exchange students who visited to MUPY to participate in a specialized professional training and international internship program. The program was hosted by the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, specifically within the Division of Pharmaceutical Technology, and the Department of Pharmaceutical Botany, from February 28, 2025, to April 3, 2025.

The three exchange students from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kyushu University, Japan, included:
1. Ms. Hanano TANI who undertook a training and research practice under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jiraporn Leanpolchareanchai, a faculty member of Pharmaceutical Technology Division, Department of Pharmacy.
2. Mr. Takamasa DOMOTO who undertook a training and research practice under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jiraphong Suksiriworapong, Head of the Central Research Instrument Facility and a faculty member of Pharmaceutical Technology Division, Department of Pharmacy.
3. Ms. Yuiko ESHIMA who undertook a training and research practice under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Benyakan Pongkitwitoon, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Botany.

This international training program aimed to enhance students’ academic and professional skills in specialized fields of pharmaceutical sciences through research and hands-on practice under the supervision of expert faculty members from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University. The program also fostered international knowledge and experience exchange, contributing to academic excellence on a global scale. Additionally, it served as a significant opportunity to strengthen academic and research collaborations between the two institutions, paving the way for pharmaceutical innovations that could be applied for the benefit of society and the healthcare sector in the future. Furthermore, this activity responded to SDG’s Goal 4th: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17th: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
