On February 8-9, 2025, the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, through its Graduate Studies and Postgraduate Education Division, organized an off-campus educational field trip for graduate students under the theme “Meet my friend @ Kanchanaburi” at Mahidol University, Kanchanaburi Campus.

The trip was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Brompoj Prutthiwanasan, Deputy Dean for Graduate Studies and Information Technology, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication. Faculty members and both Thai and international postgraduate students participated in the visit to Mahidol University’s Kanchanaburi Campus, where they engaged in knowledge exchange focusing on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event featured a special lecture by Dr. Juthamas Sukontapatipak at the Vimandin Development and Training Center, Mahidol University, Kanchanaburi Campus.

During the field trip, graduate students attended lectures and participated in hands-on activities designed to deepen their understanding of SDGs, particularly in the context of health sciences and pharmacy. Additionally, the event provided international students with a unique opportunity to experience Thai culture and learn about Thailand’s history through visits to significant historical sites in Kanchanaburi. These included the Bridge over the River Kwai, the Death Railway at Krasae Cave, Sai Yok Noi Waterfall, and the Hellfire Pass Memorial Museum. These excursions helped enrich students' perspectives on the social and historical dimensions of sustainable development.
