During January 23-26, 2025, Asst. Prof. Jennis Meanwatthana, Deputy Dean for the Doctor of Pharmacy Program (International Program) at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), participated in ‘the 33rd Indonesia International Education Training Expo & Conference’ (IIETE2025), the largest and most complete higher education expo in Indonesia, organized by Directorate General of Higher Education and DKI Jakarta Provincial Education Department. Having been held at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jarkarta, Indonesia, the event featured more than 150 institutions & companies from 16 countries, and attracted over 30,000 visitors. This business trip was led by Mahidol University's Global Partnership Division, which assembled instructors from multiple faculties across Mahidol University to participate in the exhibition, showcasing the institution’s diverse educational offerings.
As part of this exhibition, Asst. Prof. Jennis Meanwatthana presented detailed information on MUPY's Doctor of Pharmacy Program (International Program) under Mahidol University International Pharmacy School (MIPY) with comprehensive insights. Her presentation emphasized the program’s unique curriculum, which blends clinical training with advanced pharmaceutical sciences and research opportunities to prepare students for the demands of a global healthcare landscape.
The presentation attracted considerable interest from Indonesian students, their parents, and educational consultants who sought to understand the program’s distinct benefits, career outcomes, and opportunities for international collaboration. Many participants engaged in discussions regarding admissions criteria, curriculum management, language requirements, and professional practices offered by MUPY for international students.
Asst. Prof. Jennis Meanwatthana’s participation underscored MUPY’s dedication to nurturing international perspectives in pharmacy education. This approach aimed to develop graduates who are not only technically proficient, but also adapt at contributing to the international pharmacy and healthcare sectors. Furthermore, participating in this exhibition also responded to SDG’s Goal 4th: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17th: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
