On Thursday, November 28, 2024, from 09:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M., the faculty executives of Mahidol University's Faculty of Pharmacy (MUPY), led by Asst. Prof. Jennis Meanwatthana, Deputy Dean for the Doctor of Pharmacy Program (International Program), and Asst. Prof. Sayamon Sukkha, Assistant Dean for Professional Affairs, together with Lect. Suwida Tangtrakultham and Dr. Amporn Songkasiri, participated in an online exit presentation hosted by Meiji Pharmaceutical University (MPU).

Having been broadcasted via Microsoft Teams from Japan's Tokyo Metropolis, the exit presentation was physically held at MPU, and was honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Hirotoshi Echizen (MPU President) and MPU faculty members, including Prof. Dr. Manabu Akazawa, Dr. Ryoko Sakai, and Dr. Kazuhiro Higuchi, who warmly welcomed attendees alongside faculty members from MUPY. This hybrid event marked the conclusion of the clinical internship undertaken by two MUPY undergraduate students, namely Mr. Boonyakorn Konghirun and Ms. Faosia Akkaramanat, who presented their learning outcomes and professional practice experiences under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kazuhiro Higuchi and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ryoko Sakai. They also provided valuable feedback on the professional training experiences of the two students, who underwent their training at practice sites within the partner network. The clinical internship, held on-site in Tokyo from October 21 to November 29, 2024, included professional training at the following sites: 1) QoL Pharmacy RYUSEIDO Pharmacy, 2) Kawakita General Hospital, and 3) Nihondo Kampo School. These institutions are part of the professional training network of MPU.

Additionally, this overseas internship program strengthened a strong relationship between MUPY and MPU. It also corresponded to the Faculty of Pharmacy's Mission of producing graduates with equivalent quality to leading pharmacy institutions in Asia, equipped with morality and competency to serve societal need. It also responded to SDG’s Goal 4: Quality Education to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
