Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences, Pharmacogenomics Project, Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, Department of Medical Sciences, Ministry of public health and RIKEN Center for Genomic Medicine, Japan collaboratively hosted the 2nd Meeting of South East Asian Pharmacogenomics Research Network (SEAPharm) Symposium for Genetic and Genome-Guided Personalized Medicine in Asia: Overview and Applications. Many leading experts in pharmacogenomics from the US, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand were invited to participate and share knowledge and experiences in this field. In this occasion, Dean Chuthamanee Suthisisang, Assist. Prof. Pramote Trakulpiankit and Dr. Jiraphun Jittikoon were honorly invited as guest speakers at this conference. In addition, Dean Chuthamanee and Assist. Prof. Usa Chaikledkaew also had an opportunity to host Prof. Howard McLeod who is a leading expert in pharmacogenomics and currently a Professor as well as Director of UNC Institute for Pharmacogenomics and Individualized Therapy, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, USA and discuss about research and academic collaboration in the future.
