MUPY in collaboration with the School of Life Sciences / Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Groningen provides assistance to 10 delegates from 6 pharmacy schools from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on clinical pharmacy education. The program entitled “Intensive Training Program on Clinical Pharmacy Education” is generously supported by the Netherlands Organization for International Cooperation
in Higher Education (NUFFIC) and will be held from 9-19 November 2009 at MUPY and our major practice sites. This program aims to provide knowledge and expertise for the development of strong clinical pharmacy education in the pharmacy curriculum throughout the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This may lead to a significant advancement in the role of pharmacist in Vietnam and contribute to the global movement of clinical pharmacy, especially in the Southeast Asia region. The opening ceremony was held on Monday 9 of November 2009 from 9.00 – 9.45 AM. Prof. Dr. Napatawn Banchuin (Vice President, Mahidol University) Assoc. Prof. Chuthamanee Suthisisang (Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University) chaired the ceremony. Among honored guest of the ceremony were
Ms. Boonyarat Suwanchinda (Director, Division of International Relations, Mahidol University), Mr. Tan Xuan Vu (Counselor of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Bangkok), Mr. Soehirman Patmo (Director of NUFFIC-Netherlands Education Support Office-Thailand).
