On November 24, 2022, from 08.15-09.15 a.m. (Bangkok local time), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pakatip Ruenraroengsak, as an official delegation representing MUPY, participated as an invited speaker in the Virtual 3rd International Research Network Initiative (IRNI) 2022. Her lecture topic was ’Application of cancer anotheranostics: Evaluate using 2D, 3D and in vivo models’. Having been arranged during November 23-24, 2022, this virtual conference was hosted by the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Teknologi MARA, in collaboration with six partner universities including 1) the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, 2) the School of Pharmacy, Queen’s University Belfast, United Kingdom, 3) University College London, United Kingdom, 4) School of Pharmacy, Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia, 5) Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) University, India, and 6) College of Pharmacy, University of Sharjah , United Arab Emirates.
In this event, there were many invited speakers from aforementioned prominent universities joined this online conference. Also, there were more than 100 international audiences including lecturers, scholars, and students who joined this online conference which was broadcasted via the Microsoft Teams platform. The conference included eight plenary lectures, five special lectures from invited speakers from UiTM’s partner universities, poster presentations, and oral presentations arranged via the online platform. This virtual conference aimed to promote collaboration among academicians, healthcare practitioners, industry professionals, and students in research related to the pharmaceutical sciences field. Its plenary speakers from various universities across the globe and pharmaceutical industry also had an opportunity to deliver the talks on Recent Advancements in Drug Discovery and Development for Shaping the future of Medicine. This international conference aimed to increase the research networking in various disciplines of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences between UiTM, MoU partner institutions and other renowned pharmacy institutions around the globe.
Furthermore, this conference responded to SDG’s Goal 4: Quality Education to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
