On Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 09.00 a.m. – 10.30 a.m. (Bangkok time), MUPY’s administrative staff led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew, the Deputy Dean for International and Public Relations, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jiraphun Jittikoon, the Chair of MUPY’s Department of Biochemistry, the faculty members in the Biochemistry Department, and Mr. Amporn Songkasiri, attended the exit presentation of 39 exchange students who completed the 2022 Pharmaceutical Biochemistry Training Program via the Zoom Meetings platform. Also joined this students’ exit presentation included the faculty members in the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, the University of Santo Tomas (UST), the Philippines led by Prof. Dr. Agnes L. Castillo and Asst. Prof. Dr. Minerva L. Daya.
In this regards, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jiraphun Jittikoon summarized this year’s program arrangement, and the department members also expressed their congratulatory speeches to the students. After that, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew together with UST faculty members delivered the speeches to mark the program closing. This year, MUPY’s Department of Biochemistry arranged a Pharmaceutical Biochemistry Training Program for UST Exchange Students on the Microsoft Teams platform from June 15, 2022, until July 15, 2022. This training program sought to give trainees professional training in the field of pharmaceutical biochemistry, as well as to increase academic staff and student worldwide exposure, resulting in increasing the global visibility of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Furthermore, this activity responded to SDG’s Goal 4th: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17th: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
