MUPY student joined “The 68th International Pharmaceutical Students' Federation World Congress 2023”

On August 5, 2023, MUPY's 4th-year undergraduate pharmacy student, namely Ms. Srirapa Panichhirun, a student representative of the President of the Pharmaceutical Student's Association of Thailand (PSAT) participated the international event entitled “The 68th International Pharmaceutical Students Federation World Congress 2023" organized by the School of Pharmacy, Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB) in collaboration with International Pharmaceutical Students Federation (IPSF). Having been held during August 5 - 11, 2023, in Bali, Indonesia, the international conference also attended by 1) Her Excellency Dita Novianti Sugandi Argadiredja, Secretary of the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. 2) Mr. Wayan Koster, Governor of Bali. 3) Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, Rector of the Institute of Technology, Bandung, and 4) Ms. Rayene Abdelhadi, President of IPSF.

The International Pharmaceutical Students' Federation (IPSF) is an international advocacy organization which represents more than 500,000 pharmacy and pharmaceutical science students and recent graduates from over 100 countries worldwide.

Moreover, the primary objective of this international conference was to provide pharmacy students with interactive workshops that focused on developing soft and leadership skills for their future roles in organizations and workplaces. Subsequently, this activity offered a wide range of activities including pharmaceutical topics discussions, and medication counseling contest. The participation of aforementioned student was supported by International Relations Division, Mahidol University under the scholarship for Undergraduate Student Mobility Program. Furthermore, this activity responded to the Faculty’s mission in terms of producing graduates with equivalent quality to leading pharmacy institutions in Asia, equipped with morality and competency to serve the societal need. It also corresponded to the SDG’s Goal 4th: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, and Goal 10th: Reduce inequality within and among countries.
