MUPY organized Online Conference on Product Information Leaflet and Boxed Warnings

On February 22-24, 2021, MUPY’s Department of Pharmacy organized an online conference entitled ’Product Information Leaflet and Boxed Warnings (PIL-Box)’ via the Cisco Webex platform. In this regard, Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan virtually presided over its opening session and delivered a warm welcoming speech to 506 online participants from various fields of health professions. In addition, this conference was considered one of the academic activities in a special project, which has been arranging throughout this year, to commemorate the auspicious occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth year of Dr. Pradit Hutangura, the founder of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University. Over the 3-day conference, there were many distinguished speakers from MUPY’s Department of Pharmacy as well as invited speakers and experts from affiliated institutes. They gave a lecture on numerous topics such as The Importance of Product Information Leaflet in Patient Safety, Key Warnings in Special Populations, Bye Bye Pregnancy Category in Drug Labeling!. The objectives of this conference were to raise awareness and provide essential knowledge about the importance of product information leaflets to pharmacists, physicians, and healthcare practitioners.
