LCD (Liguor Carbonis Detergents) หรือ Tar ออกฤทธิ์เป็น keratoplastic, antieczematous และ antipruritic effects ใช้ในการรักษา pruritic dermatose ซึ่งรวมถึง psoriasis และ seborrheic dermatitis ซึ่งผลิตภัณฑ์ยามีอยู่ในรูปแบบของ lotion, cream, ointment และ shampoo สำหรับในประเทศไทย ตามแนวทางการรักษา Psoriasis จากสถาบันโรคผิวหนัง ได้มีคำแนะนำให้ใช้ tar เป็นการรักษามาตรฐาน (standard treatment) ในกลุ่มผู้ป่วยดังกล่าว ในการรักษานั้น อาจใช้ tar เพียงอย่างเดียว หรือใช้ร่วมกับการรักษาอื่นๆ ขึ้นกับความรุนแรงของผู้ป่วย และการพิจารณาของแพทย์ค่ะ
