MUPY made a splash at 6th PharmaIndochina Conference.

Thirty three MUPY staff and students participated in the biannual conference on pharmaceutical sciences called 6th Pharma-Indochina that was held during 16-17 December 2009 in Hue City, Vietnam. MUPY team was led by Dean Chuthamanee Suthisisang, Assoc. Prof. Varaporn Junyaprasert (Assistant Dean for Research), Assist. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan (Assistant Dean for International Relations), Assoc. Prof. Arthorn Riewpaiboon, Assoc. Prof. Cha-oncin Suksriwong, Assoc. Prof. Leena Suntornsuk and Assist. Prof. Usa Chaikledkaew. There were a total of 7 bachelor and 19 graduate students who presented their research works in the meeting. In addition, all MUPY faculty members participated in the scientific program by serving as invited speakers in both plenary and concurrent sessions and serving as chairman for scientific sessions. Overall, MUPY presence was clearly visible since almost half of the presentations belongs to MUPY\'s work. Apart from scientific realm, MUPY bachelor students participated in the cultural exchange program by performing Thai dancing during the Gala Dinner on 16 December 2009. These performance won both hearts and minds of all attendants and received thunderous applaud along with cheering of the name Thailand by international audience. In the closing ceremony, Dean Chuthamanee Suthisisang went on stage to receive the Pharma-Indochina flag from the Vietnamese counterparts as the symbol that Thailand will be the host for the 7th Pharma Indochina Conference in 2011. Overall, MUPY participation in this meeting was a splendid and resounding success.
