Pharm. D. Program received AUN-QA Assessment

On Monday, November 14, 2022, at 08.30 a.m. - 05.30 p.m., the Doctor of Pharmacy Programme under the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University officially received the 303rd AUN-QA Programme Assessment according to the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) criteria. Its opening ceremony was presided over by Prof. Wachira Kochakarn, Mahidol University’s Vice President for Human Resource Development, and was held both at the main meeting room and was live-streamed via the Cisco Webex Meetings from the Office of the President, located in Salaya Campus. In this regard, MUPY’s executive members led by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, the Dean, along with Assoc. Prof. Preecha Montakantikul, the Deputy Dean for Education, and MUPY academic staff attended the opening ceremony of the 303rd AUN-QA Programme Assessment via the online platform. In addition, the 303rd AUN-QA Programme Assessment was arranged from November 14-16, 2022. At this time, there were four academic programs of Mahidol University joined the 303rd AUN-QA Programme Assessment including MUPY’s Doctor of Pharmacy Programme. The Programme was assessed by the following assesors. (1) Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin, lead assessor, from Educational Quality International, Singapore. (2) Prof. Dr. Juanito O. Cabanias, assessor, from De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute, the Philippines The activities of the 303rd AUN-QA Programme Assessment consisted of an overview presentation of the Doctor of Pharmacy Programme by Assoc. Prof. Preecha Montakantikul, followed by the interview sessions for the Department Chairs, academic staff, current students, alumni, and employers. Moreover, the assessors also had a chance to visit the Faculty’s facilities such as the Faculty’s library, laboratories, academic services and student services, and the Faculty’s drugstore. They also reviewed the documents and self-assessment report. The activities took place at the Faculty of Pharmacy for two days. On November 16, 2022, the key results were then presented by the assessors at Mahidol University, Salaya Campus. Furthermore, this activity responded to the Faculty’s mission in terms of producing graduates with equivalent quality to leading pharmacy institutions in Asia, equipped with morality and competency to serve the societal need. It also corresponded to the SDG’s Goal 4th: Reduce inequality within and among countries, Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17th: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
