On Monday, May 30, 2022, at 09.00 a.m., MUPY’s executives led by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, the Dean, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew, Deputy Dean for International and Public Relations and the Program Director of MU-HTA Graduate Program, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arthorn Riewpaiboon, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Montarat Thavorncharoensap and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong hosted a warm welcome for Nigerian healthcare professionals led by Prof. Mohammed Nasir Sambo (Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer) and six healthcare professionals from Nigeria’s National Health Insurance Agency (NHIA).
Having been arranged by MU-HTA Program, the training program provided all Nigerian visitors with background knowledge and relevant experiences focusing on pharmacoeconomics and health technology assessment concepts. Having been financially supported by Roche Product Ltd., the program was organized for 4 days starting from the 30th of May until the 2nd of June 2022. The purposes of this training program were to exchange knowledge between Thailand and Nigeria and to enhance related experiences throughout the program including academic lectures and site visiting.
In addition, this program responded to SDG’s Goal 1: End poverty in all its forms everywhere, Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
