On February 17-19, 2022, MUPY’s Department of Pharmacy virtually organized an academic conference entitled ’Drug Interactions: From PK/PD to Patient Safety & Optimal Outcomes (DI-P2)’ via the Cisco Webex Events platform. This online conference’s opening session was presided over by the Deputy Dean for Education, namely Assoc. Prof. Preecha Montakantikul, who delivered a warm welcoming speech to its 690 online participants from various fields of health professions across the country. In this 3-day conference, there were many speakers from the Faculty as well as distinguished speakers and experts from affiliated institutes. This conference aimed to provide essential knowledge as well as up-to-date information concerning drug interaction in clinical practices and related issues to pharmacists, physicians, and healthcare practitioners, resulting in the clinical outcomes, rational drug use, and safety of the patients. Furthermore, this conference was considered one of the Faculty’s projects which have been arranged throughout the years to commemorate the auspicious occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth year of Dr. Pradit Hutangura, the founder of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University. Also, it was arranged to commemorate the previous MUPY’s Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suvatna Chulavatnatol. In addition, this conference corresponded to the Faculty’s missions as well as SDG Goals including the 3rd Goal: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages, the 4th Goal: Quality Education to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, and the 10th Goal: Reduce inequality within and among countries.
