Exit Presentation of UST Biochemistry Students

On Friday, July 16, 2021, from 01.00 p.m. to 03.00 p.m. (Bangkok time), MUPY’s administrative staff led by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, the Dean, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew, the Deputy Dean for International and Public Relations, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Jiraphun Jittikoon, the Chair of MUPY’s Department of Biochemistry, the faculty members in the Department of Biochemistry, and Mr. Amporn Songkasiri, attended an exit presentation and student presentation delivered by 15 biochemistry students who had completed the 2021 Pharmaceutical Biochemistry Training Program. The event was lived via the Cisco Webex Meeting platform. Also joined this online event included the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Santo Tomas (UST), namely Prof. Dr. Aleth Therese L. Dacanay, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agnes L. Castillo, Asst. Prof. Gardee T. Peña from UST’s Faculty of Pharmacy. The activities included the exit presentation focusing on the outcomes the students totally gained from the online training program, the certificate awarding session, the program summary presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Jiraphun Jittikoon, 5 groups of student presentations focusing on the research work, and the closing remarks delivered by the administrative members of both institutions. This year, MUPY’s Department of Biochemistry virtually organized the 2021 Pharmaceutical Biochemistry Training Program for UST Exchange Students on the Microsoft Teams platform from June 17 to July 16, 2021. This program aimed to support the internationalization of both institutions and maintain the student exchange program amidst the global pandemic. The training program also sought to give trainees professional training in the field of pharmaceutical biochemistry, as well as to increase academic staff and student worldwide exposure, resulting in increasing the academic excellence and global visibility of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
