Online meeting with Osaka University's Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences to strengthen research collaboration and initiatives

On November 6, 2024, from 09:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M., the executives of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Acting Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Somnuk Bunsupa, Assistant Dean for Research and Innovation, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Veerawat Teeranachaideekul, the Director of the MUPY Dermocosmetic Testing Center, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Amaraporn Wongrakpanich attended an online meeting with the academic staff and researchers from the Advanced Cosmetic Science Laboratory, Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Osaka University, Japan. The representative was led by Prof. Dr. Kaori Saito and Prof. Dr. Fumitaka Fujita via the Zoom Meeting platform.

The meeting focused on exploring potential academic and research collaborations between the two institutions. Key discussion points included (1) discussing opportunities to receive support from the Nishimura International Scholarship Foundation (NISF); and (2) exploring possible joint research projects to promote innovation exchange and technology transfer. This productive meeting also marked a positive step toward fostering an international partnership that would enhance academic and research synergies in the field of cosmetic science. 

Moreover, this event supported our mission to serve as the portal for professional services that encompasses drugs, herbal medicine, cosmetics and dietary supplement to support the sustainable development of the nation, while responded to SDG Goal 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages, Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17: Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development.
