On December 13, 2022, from 09.00 a.m. - 11.00 a.m., Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, accepted to be an invited speaker to deliver a special lecture entitled “Anticoagulation Therapy” in a class for graduate students of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. Having been hosted by UiTM, the lecture was held via the Microsoft Teams platform and was directly livestreamed to the graduate students in UiTM’s Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice Program.
This program aimed to provide an opportunity for UiTM’s graduate students to learn more about a Anticoagulation Therapy. Also, they had a chance to explore Thailand’s public healthcare and its pharmacy system. This activity helped promote an exchange of learning between Malaysian students and foreign scholars from partner universities. It also strengthened a strong relationship between MUPY and Universiti Teknologi MARA’s Faculty of Pharmacy.
In addition, this session supported the Faculty’s Missions in terms of producing graduates with equivalent quality to leading pharmacy institutions in Asia, equipped with morality and competency to serve the societal need as well as producing research and innovation that meets national and international standard. It also responded to the SDG’s Goal 4th: Reduce inequality within and among countries and Goal 17th: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
