On September 23, 2022, from 01:00 p.m. - 03:30 p.m., MUPY administrative members led by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, the Dean, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew, the Deputy Dean for International and Public Relations and the Director of Graduate Program in Health Technology Assessment (MU-HTA), along with the MU-HTA Graduate Program members and students led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Montarat Thavorncharoensap and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong provided a warm welcome to Prof. Dr. Olivia Wu, an invited speaker from the Health Economics and Health Technology Assessment (HEHTA) Unit, University of Glasgow, United Kingdom.
Prof. Dr. Olivia visited MUPY and the MU-HTA Graduate Program to perform an educational advice to the students as well as to deliver a series of academic lectures to the Graduate Program. The topics include 1) Real World Evidence (RWE), 2) Real world evidence in health technology assessment: where are we now?, and 3) HTA and Reimbursement Decision in the UK. Furthermore, this visit responded to SDG’s Goal 4: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
