HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn granted permission to Laos’s healthcare personnel to attend the audiences

On Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 02.30 p.m. - 04.00 p.m., Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously granted permission to Laotian healthcare personnel along with Mahidol University’s administrators, and the program organizers from nine Mahidol University’s faculties to attend the audiences with Her Royal Highness both at Srapathum Palace and via the Zoom Meeting Platform. In this regard, Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, MUPY’s Dean, has been granted permission to attend the audiences with Her Royal Highness at Srapathum Palace, while Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew, Deputy Dean for International and Public Relations, Dr. Krisada Sakchaisri, and Mr. Amporn Songkasiri have been also granted permission to attend the audiences with Her Royal Highness via the Zoom Meetings platform. This event was considered the official closing ceremony of the 2022 Training Program in Technology of Medicine and Public Health for Health Personnel from Lao People’s Democratic Republic initiated by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn which had been virtually arranged via the online platform by nine faculties under Mahidol University including the Faculty of Pharmacy. Furthermore, the participating trainee of each training program has been granted permission to present their research proposal to HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. In terms of the pharmacy program, Mr. Saykham Saisoukham was a representative to present the research project entitled ’Self-Medication Among People in Bounnaue District Phongsaly Province and Salavan District, Salavan Province, Laos PDR’. The training program was under a collaboration of the Royal Office, MOFA’s Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), and Mahidol University’s faculties. The objectives were 1) to increase the knowledge and skills in health promotion and prevention, 2) to strengthen and develop public health, and 3) to exchange knowledge and experiences in the development of medical technology and public health.
