MUPY joined the 9th HTAsiaLink Virtual Annual Conference

On October 12-13, 2021, MUPY’s Deputy Dean for International and Public Relations, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Montarat Thavorncharoensap and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong participated in the 9th HTAsiaLink Virtual Annual Conference arranged via the Zoom Meeting platform. They joined as a judge and moderator in the conference’s program consisting of three sessions including plenary lectures, oral presentation, and poster presentation. Three plenary sessions and several parallel sessions would support the meeting’s overarching theme of “Global Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Practices in Asia: Bridging True Evidence-to-the UHC Benefits Adjustments”. The 9th HTAsiaLink Annual Conference was a leading scientific event attended by a consortium of Asia-Pacific countries, serving as a discussion platform for researchers, academicians, policy-makers as well as those working in the global HTA community. In 2021, it was organized by Indonesia’s Ministry of Public Health in collaboration with the Indonesia Health Technology Assessment Committee (InaHTAC) and the Center for Health Economics & Policy Studies (CHEPS). Normally, the HTAsiaLink Annual Conference is the representative academic event that facilitates the exchange of HTA knowledge and experience among member agencies and identifies the development plan for the network next year, also functions as the capacity building platform that junior researchers from the member agencies present their study and obtain productive comments from international experts and peers. Around 34 agencies from 17 different countries voluntarily join the network with the common objective of HTA competency improvement. This year, HTAsiaLink Annual Conference 2021 was hosted by Indonesia with virtual implementation. Furthermore, this conference responded to SDG’s Goal 4: Quality Education to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
