On Friday, November 15, 2024, from 09:00 A.M. to 12:00 A.M. (local time in Taiwan), the executive team from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, led by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, MUPY Dean, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mullika Chomnawang, Deputy Dean for Innovation Management and Business Relations, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vilasinee Hirunpanich Sato, Head of the Department of Pharmacology, paid a visit to the College of Pharmacy, China Medical University (CMU), located in the Republic of China (Taiwan).
They were warmly welcomed by the CMU executive team, led by Prof. Dr. Hsiang-Wen Lin. The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to discuss potential collaborations, including student exchange programs, international internship opportunities, and other joint initiatives for the future. Following the discussions, the CMU team also accompanied them on a campus tour to showcase the university’s learning and research facilities.
Additionally, they also joined the tripartite Research and Teaching Collaboration Meeting, also hosted by CMU at the College of Pharmacy, China Medical University. During this meeting, they discussed future activities and collaborations with representatives from CMU, led by Prof. Dr. Hsiang-Wen Lin, and Chiba University, led by Prof. Dr. Kunikazu Moribe.
Moreover, this official visit helped strengthen global partnership between the two institutes, and also supported the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all; Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries; and Goal 17: Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
