On Friday, November 8, 2024, at 02.00 P.M., the International Pharmacy School of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MIPY), held a highly anticipated online event titled “MIPY INTER Virtual Open House”. Having been broadcasted on Facebook Live, the event was moderated by Asst. Prof. Jennis Meanwatthana, Deputy Dean for the Doctor of Pharmacy Program (International Program), along with Dr. Thongtham Suksawat, and two undergraduate students from the first cohort of MIPY students who engaged discussions and presentations about the MIPY international curriculum.
This virtual open house served as an interactive platform to introduce prospective students to the unique offerings of MIPY’s Doctor of Pharmacy Program (International Program). Moreover, it provided a comprehensive overview of MIPY's international Doctor of Pharmacy program, highlighting its global curriculum, and outlining the various academic and professional opportunities available to students. Both hosts emphasized the program's focus on preparing students for international pharmaceutical careers by equipping them with skills aligned with global standards.
Throughout the event, participants received practical insights into the application process. Asst. Prof. Jennis Meanwatthana and Dr. Thongtham Suksawat also offered valuable advice on creating a compelling portfolio, stressing the importance of showcasing academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and personal experiences that reflect a commitment to pharmacy. They also shared tips on how to excel in the admissions interview, discussing commonly asked questions and the qualities MIPY seeks in candidates.
Furthermore, this event supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4, which aims to ensure inclusive, equitable, and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning opportunities, and Goal 10, which seeks to reduce inequalities within and among countries.
