Prof. Dr. Mallika Chomnawang, Acting Deputy Dean for Innovation Management and Business Relations, provided a warm welcome to the representatives from the Promoting the Quality of Medicines Plus (PQM+) Program. This program is led by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and is funded by The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) from the United States.

The PQM+ representatives included Dr. Ankasha Arif (Consultant, PQM+ Program), Mr. Sanjay Saha (Senior Consultant, PQM+ Program), and Mr. Zubair Ahmad (Regional Senior Finance and Operations Manager), who visited MUPY to discuss future potential research collaboration.

PQM+ is a program aimed at improving the quality assurance systems for medicines in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) in Africa and Asia. Its goal is to address the issue of substandard medicines, which pose a serious risk to patient safety and lead to significant economic losses.
