On Monday, October 21, 2024, from 01:00 PM to 03:30 PM, the executives of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), led by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, MUPY Dean, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mallika Chomnawang, Acting Deputy Dean for Innovation Management and Business Relations, provided a warm welcome to the representatives from the Promoting the Quality of Medicines Plus (PQM+) Program. This program is led by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and is funded by The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) from the United States.

The PQM+ representatives included Dr. Ankasha Arif (Consultant, PQM+ Program), Mr. Sanjay Saha (Senior Consultant, PQM+ Program), and Mr. Zubair Ahmad (Regional Senior Finance and Operations Manager), who visited MUPY to discuss future potential research collaboration.

PQM+ is a program aimed at improving the quality assurance systems for medicines in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) in Africa and Asia. Its goal is to address the issue of substandard medicines, which pose a serious risk to patient safety and lead to significant economic losses.
