From July 9 to July 13, 2023, the delegation comprising Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kittisak Sripha, Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Satsawat Visansirikul from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, along with the faculty members of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Chulalongkorn University including Prof. Dr. Opa Vajrakupta and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pornchai Rojsitthisak embarked on a journey to visit several prominent institutions in China, including 1) Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences 2) College of Biological, Chemical Science and Engineering, Jiaxing University 3) Huayi Isotopes Co.(China) and Jiangsu Huayi Technology Co., Ltd. และ 4) Ruipai Medical Co., Ltd.
During this visit, there were excellent opportunities to engage in a fruitful discussion concerning novel synthesis approach for pharmaceuticals and materials development and the advancement of radioisotopes as potential drug therapies and diagnostic agents. Furthermore, it presented remarkable collaborative opportunities that explored avenues for continued engagement, such as exchange programs for academic staff and students, joint research initiatives, and reciprocal visits.
